Plugin update galore
[ Posted by Bositman 09:16 on 14 08 08 ]
It's summer vacations for most of us and as you've seen PCSX2 development has been pretty slow these days!
But,some great plugins for PCSX2 have recently got updated and are worth mentioning:
Gsdx 0.1.9: Gabest releases yet another version of his fast DX9 / DX10 GS plugin improving speed and compatibility. You can get it from our downloads page
Lilypad 0.9.4: Chickenliver keeps updating this pad plugin with constant bug fixes and features,so be sure to check it out. Also in our downloads
Gigaherz's cdvd plugin v0.7 WIP 3: A new CDVD plugin by Gigaherz which is in very early stages but making progress. You can download it and give it a try in this emuforums thread
here
Edit: New DEV9 (HDD) plugin by NHerve released! It is also in early stages (first release) but it's a big breakthrough since it is the first working DEV9 plugin! You can check it out here:
MegaDev9
That's it for now,I'll try to keep updating the download section with the new releases.
Enjoy your summer vacations people

SPU2ghz Beta 1.9
[ Posted by gigaherz 19:15 on 06 06 08 ]
It hasn't even been 2 weeks yet, and I have managed to get some new stuff together for a new spu2ghz release!
This time the most notable changes are the addition of timestretching and support for winamp DSP plugins.
As a bonus, there's also an option to toggle the speed limiter using the [Numpad -] key (can be changed in the .ini file).
You can download it here.
To use winamp DSP pugins I recommend getting
Multiple-DSP Stacker, which will allow you to easily change DSP plugins and configure them. To enable it you will have to edit the .ini file and manually point it to the path of the DSP dll and the module number (normally it's 0, unless it has many choices in a single dll).
Hope you all like it!

Spu2ghz 1.8
[ Posted by gigaherz 15:26 on 25 05 08 ]
I'm (ab)using the pcsx2.net's news system to let everyone know I (finally) got my lazy ass to make some improvements in my sound plugin.
The result is spu2ghz 1.8, which you can find in
the official thread at ngemu forums.
I will keep working on the SPDIF decoding, and hopefully someday I will manage to get working AC3/DTS playback.
EDIT: I uploaded the file also to
sourceforge.net's file release system for anyone who can't access the forums, or doesn't want to register in them.
Getting up to date
[ Posted by Bositman 22:16 on 12 05 08 ]
Hey everyone, this isn't anything exciting but I just wanted to let you know.
Our download section has finally been brought up to date with all the updated versions of the GS and Pad plugins which are under development.
Also, some outdated and useless files have been removed to prevent confusion.
I've also updated our sourceforge page (
http://sourceforge.net/projects/pcsx2/) with the current info (it was last updated about 3 years ago!),added some screenshots and both FAQ - readme docs in the documentation section.
In other (more interesting for you) news, development is going good as you're able to see from the frequent SVN updates, with Refraction making the usual core changes, with a recent one giving a huge speed boost in some games (albeit breaking some, still trying to figure out what to do with that).
Saqib is also working on something behind the scenes, wait and see when it's done
